Armchair Tours of Europe ’s Museums
If you like travel and culture, Dr. Virginia Bush invites you to come along to “tour” the great museums in three of Europe ’s capital cities: the Louvre (Paris) the Prado ( Madrid ), and the Vatican ( Rome ). Learn about their important collections as well as their lesser known treasures. Hear about the buildings and the way they were influenced by poets, kings, and others. $30
Classes meet October 3, 17, and 24; 10:00 am to Noon
The Foreign Policy Brown Bagger
This interactive forum explores current world issues with individuals who are familiar with the political and business climates in North Korea , India , the Middle East , and Latin America . Educating young Americans for roles in international relations will also be explored. As part of this interactive class, students will be able to explore the subjects more deeply during a question and answer period. $75

Beyond Google
If you’ve ever wondered why it was so hard to find what you were looking for with a search engine on the Internet, this new course featuring Weston Middle School librarian Maxine Petrucelli may be right up your alley. Ms. Petrucelli will take students on a trip through cyberspace, explaining along the way the best methods for navigating available resources on the World Wide Web. $30
Classes meet October 11, 18, and 25; 3:00 – 4:30 pm
Watercolor Painting
Amateurs and professionals alike will find new inspiration in this hands-on class led by Weston’s award-winning watercolor artist Laura Wilk. 2005 First Place winner at the Connecticut Watercolor Society show, Laura has a few inside tips to share with aspiring artists. Last year her course was oversubscribed so this year she will return to help demystify the art of watercolor. $195 (plus cost of materials)
