Our History.
Founded in 1994, The Weston Education Foundation (WEF) is a volunteer run, non-profit organization whose mission is to foster excellence and innovation in education. WEF was created in response to the need for alternative sources for funding education both within the school system as well as the broader Weston community. Your donations make these important goals possible.
WEF funds educational projects, technologies and initiatives, which are not typically within the parameters of the school system budget. As these budgets become increasingly tighter, the need for this funding still clearly exists. WEF’s non-profit status coupled with its minimal administrative overhead costs ensure that 100% of all donation proceeds go directly to specific approved projects with zero waste and optimal efficiency.
The introduction of Interactive Whiteboard Labs, the wall mural in the WMS Library, and the Media Lab at WHS are just a few examples of the meaningful and substantive impact that WEF has had on our schools and our community. These initiatives would not have been possible without the generous support of our donors.
The Weston Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation and all contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
